Angestag 9 Nachexen to Festag 10 Nachexen
The amazing actors of the Altdorf Imperial Theatre went ignored as the heroes downed free mugs of Dwarven Ale and Reikland Wine, and talked with Lord Fredericks and Theodora Pferig about their successes so far.
Lord Fredericks did know Gottri Hammerfist, and had supported his Witch hunting endeavours for a number of years. Although he didn’t know him personally, he was pleased to patronise his actions, for who wouldn’t support a Witch Hunter in the course of his lawful duties. Theodora did not know Gottri, but did bring something up that she had remembered following their dinner earlier that week. She realised the next morning that both she, and Lord Messner had also had a run-in with the Crimson Skull in Middenheim. 20 years ago she had managed to rout them from Middenheim, where they were trying to infiltrate the Middenland Army, and while they slew half of them, 5 members fled south where, Theodora was later informed, an imperial unit, including a younger Magister Messner, had found and killed them.
Otherwise, little else happened, and the heroes returned to the Blessings of Taal.
The next day the heroes sought healing from the Temple of Shallya, and then travelled to Empire House, where Detlef signed up for the 7th Altdorf Militia. He was given a penny and a uniform, after answering a series of questions, and told training occurred the 3rd Wellentag of every month at the training grounds outside of the North Gate.
They then sought out Father Ranulf, and learnt he would be available that afternoon. Detlef then went and bought a Halberd, to prepare for his place in the 7th.
After finding Father Ranulf, and joining him in his afternoon prayers (with the exception of Kadfina who sat there bored), he then took them to a meeting with Sister Klara Roban. The meeting did not go well, or long. She confirmed that she knew Gottri Hammerfist and agreed to write a letter of introduction for the heroes.
Father Ranulf apologised for the briefness of the meeting, and the Heroes returned to the Blessings of Taal to retire for the evening. Kadfina went upstairs first, and failed to notice that someone had entered her and Andred’s room. She was awoken in the middle of the night by an excruciating pain in her side, as though someone had stabbed her with an icicle, but she could see no-one there in the dim-light. Andred, lay snoring on the other bed, while Detlef slept soundly in the room next door, and Gard lay blissfully in the attic with his favourite serving girl, unaware of the events that were about to follow.
