Aubentag 12 Nachexen to Marktag 13 Nachexen
Lord Fredericks provided Gard with some reading material to peruse while he was incapacitated. While there he mentioned that the Emperor had mobilised the Army, and was intending to levy the Militia. With all the Elector Counts expected to be in Altdorf for the Spring Festival, it was expected that shortly thereafter, troops would travel north to Middenland, to try and remove Archaon from the Brass Keep, and throw his troops back across the Sea of Claws.
The other heroes returned after being detained shortly by the Watch while there story was investigated. The other shoppers in the marketplace did confirm their story, so the heroes were freed.
Detlef attempted to learn how to use his Halberd, and while unsuccessful appeared pleased with his (lack of) progress.
They dined with Lord Fredericks that night, and when they told him of Gottri Hammerfist’s likely madness, Lord Fredericks showed some concern. He advised that he would organise a meeting between the heroes, Lady Baern, Sister Robans and himself to talk about the issue.
The next day the Doctor arrived, and while pleased with the progress of Andred’s healing, became infuriated when he realised that Kadfina had sought magical healing. He stormed out of the townhouse before Gard could ask him for some assistance. Gard spent the rest of the day moving between the bed, the privy and browsing through Lord Frederick’s library.
Andred, not put off by the Doctor’s reaction, sought healing from the Temple of Shallya, and then Detlef visited the Weaponsmith’s guild to inquire how to gain membership. Upon seeing the potential cost, he then inquired how to become an apprentice, considering that it would be significantly cheaper, yet still give him access to a smithy.
Andred, Detlef and Kadfina then visited Berthold at the clinic, where Andred regaled him with tales of his time in the militia, subtly, and then far less so, suggesting that Berthold might find fame aplenty if he joined the soldiers marching to the north. The Doctor attempted to sell some more cures to Andred, but Andred was unconvinced, so the Doctor asked them to leave.
The heroes then returned back to Lord Frederick’s townhouse, but ran across almost every watch patrol in the city, it seemed. With the delays of proving their rights to carry weapons and wear armour, it took almost half a day to return. Although the others were keen to retire, Kadfina argued that they should take Lord Frederick’s coach to the Three Beards tavern to look for the woman who had sent them the Daemon in the letter.
The Coachman agreed to wait in the next suburb, while Kadfina and Andred went inside to look for the woman. However it was Detlef, waiting outside who spotted a woman with scarred arms and brown hair rolled up in a bun. She entered into the Three Beards tavern, Detlef followed and called Kadfina and Andred over.
